More About This Department

The department combines conventional open surgery with laparoscopic (keyhole) techniques, chosen based on what is safest and most effective for each patient, with the goal of shorter hospital stays and faster recovery.

Common cases include gallstones, hernias, appendicitis, piles and fistula, thyroid swellings, breast lumps and general abdominal pain requiring surgical evaluation.

Patients should follow pre-operative fasting instructions strictly and disclose all current medications, allergies and past surgical history during the pre-anaesthesia assessment.
